Customizable File Names for Receipt and Tax Invoice PDFs

It would be very useful to customize the file names of downloaded “receipt and tax invoice PDFs” using configurable naming templates.

Currently, downloaded documents use generic file names such as:

receipt.pdf
invoice.pdf

When preparing accounting documents, these files therefore need to be renamed manually before they can be properly archived or forwarded to an accountant or tax advisor.

A configurable naming template could automatically generate descriptive file names, for example:

2026-07-14_XYZ_Receipt.pdf
2026-07-14_XYZ_Tax_Invoice.pdf

Possible templates could look like:

{YYYY-MM-DD}_{ShopName}_Receipt
{YYYY-MM-DD}_{ShopName}_Tax_Invoice

Useful template variables could include:

• Date
• Store/shop name
• Document type
• Order number
• Customer name or company name

This would make bookkeeping, document archiving, and accounting workflows significantly more efficient, particularly for merchants who regularly download and process a large number of documents.
