I reviewed Lemon Squeezy’s April 29, 2025 update about Stripe Managed Payments. The post announces Managed Payments and states that Lemon Squeezy will continue operating, but it does not specify whether the previously promised features, including product video previews, a native multi-item shopping cart, real-time embedded price display, and hosted secure file delivery, will be developed, migrated, or deprecated.
The removal of the public roadmap and the lack of clarity on these specific capabilities represents a meaningful loss of innovation for creators and small businesses who planned around those features. I am sharing this to inform other creators and to highlight the need for clear, feature-level transparency about what will be preserved or replaced going forward.
My exact thoughts. Having a review system for products is CRUCIAL for converting customers and they just completely remove that from the roadmap? Same with the cart feature. Both were promised only a couple months from now and currently are nowhere to be talked about. Might have to consider moving my business to a new platform unfortunately.
The entire LS team is currently working on Stripe. They are essentially recreating LS’s Merchant of Record functionality within Stripe.
Once the updates in Stripe are completed, all LS users will be migrated to Stripe. LS will be discontinued.
