Apply a discount to an existing subscription

Sometimes it might be useful to apply a discount to an existing subscription. This might be forever the subscription lasts, or for one or 2 months, for example, if you made a mistake that affected a users account and want to offer a discount as an apology.

It looks like discount codes can only be applied at the point of the subscription being created.

Wait? we can’t do this? That’s seriously disappointing. That’s a major marketing flaw in this system that is really going to affect how I approach selling my product.

…but I’m unable to give further discount which the customer and I agreed to.

This is a must-have. I want to be able to give my existing customers freebies for making testimonials, etc.

Can we please have this feature prioritized, it’s been almos a year for this feature to be requested. This would be really helpful for both buyer and seller.

This is a feature I really need. Either a way to manually discount a subscription, or the ability to give them a code to enter that will give them a discount on their next month, or the next time they renew, etc.

I also need a way for people to use a discount code when they upgrade.

My marketing plan is dead in the water without these things.

Yes, this is much needed. I would like to apply a discount after switching their subscription so they are not charged more than the original subscription they were on.

My app was down for 2 days and it is TRULY problematic that I have no way to compensate my users for this. I need to be able to either add time to their subscriptions, or give them a small discount on renewal. The fact that we still can’t, shows how little LemonSqueezy understands customer service….
